AHH.
I am so fortunate to have friends (Bailey) who will literally hand me the menu when we are going out to eat and say pick whatever you want and let’s split things.
It’s like, a foodie’s dream.
Anyway, tonight we checked out DiModa. And it was so SO good. DiModa just opened up at the start of summer where the old Trocadero used to be. Yet again, can’t get enough Italian food in my life. I honestly just wish we could have tried more things on the menu. There’s always tomorrow…
The atmosphere of the place and the design make it such a cool spot. Not only do they have a dreamy patio complete with a fountain, the inside is really beautiful too. They have a fabulous bar AND one of those cool back bars where you can sit down and watch the chefs make your pizza right in front of you. I mean, I was sold at pizza, but you know all these other things are just bonus points too.
We sat at a cute little table outside and it was perfect. We started off with the calamari. Crispy and not heavily breaded served with a charred lemon wedge, bed of arugula, lightly spiced polenta and tomato sauce for dipping. So tasty.

Second course we split a pizza (I wanted pasta too, **obviously** but I was too full after the pizza to eat anymore.)
But this wasn’t just ANY pizza.
It had roasted figs, lemon, melty gorgonzola, crispy prosciutto, arugula topped with a honey balsamic glaze. UGH! It was so good. Not too heavy but we were stuffed.

Oh and we had a bottle of Pinot Grigio to wash it all down.

Guys, check it out. Especially on that patio. They also have a dog menu so your little friend can snuggle your feet while you’re having dinner as well.
So cute.
In other news,
I am pleased to announce I am moving to Chicago in about six months to pursue my foodie lifestyle even further. I mean, I hope to find an advertising job to get my toes wet and make some good connections, but my real dream lies with this stuff right here. This is what I love doing and I hope Chicago can help me get there.

xx, my friends.
