Milwaukee I tell ya is becoming such an amazing place for a foodie. Every few weeks there’s a new restaurant opening up and I love it!
I had the delight of going to Yokohama this past Friday after they had their grand opening last Thursday. I was so pleased to see they have a late night menu. Not enough places serve late night grub and working until 10 pm Wednesday-Friday really makes it tough on a girl. I mean, not that I don’t ADORE Balzac or Elsa’s, but it doesn’t hurt to have a little variety in the late night food industry.
Since Yokohama had only been open one day, I don’t think they had anticipated how busy they might be because they were practically sold out of everything. LUCKY ME, the dish I was planning on ordering was available for me to order. I had THE MOMOFUKER. Although it was a tad spicy for my taste buds, it was so tasty. Just think of spicy chicken ramen noodles, but way better. (Red miso / panko chicken breast / kimchi / scallions / nori.) I also tried one of their draft cocktails, naturally I got the old fashioned. It was delicious and so different from the typical Wisconsin brandy old fashioned served up around Milwaukee. The atmosphere is trendy and cool. No doubt about it that Yokohama will be the hottest place on the East Side.
